Downloading Log Files
This is a step-by-step guide for downloading project and detailed log files in zapAnalytics
Log files are critical for tracking the status of data extraction, processing activities, and results reporting within the software. These files are instrumental for error analysis, helping users and support teams identify and resolve issues efficiently. Each time the software restarts, new log files are generated to ensure a clear record of each session.
There are two main types of log files that users can download:
-
- Project log files: The project log files contain essential information about SAP data extraction and processing activities. They are particularly useful for routine monitoring and troubleshooting of standard extraction and processing operations. You can download these log files to get a general overview of your project’s data extraction and processing status.
- Detailed log files: The detailed log files provide comprehensive, in-depth information about the entire SAP data extraction and processing process. These files are typically only needed when significant or complex software issues arise that require thorough analysis. Your Customer Success Manager will let you know if and when it is necessary to create and download these files .
