# Product Description Continuous Control Monitoring

## License Coverage, Operating Model and Functionality of the Continuous Control Monitoring Subscription

| **SKUs** | **Product Class** | **Version** | **Valid from** |

### **1. Governance Objective**

The Continuous Control Monitoring Subscription enables the recurring execution of data-driven analyses within the zapHome Platform to identify indications of potential risks, anomalies, and compliance issues.

It provides a scalable framework for continuous monitoring of business and compliance processes through the recurring execution of Indicators.

---

### **2. Target Users**

Continuous Control Monitoring is intended to support organizations operating recurring controls as part of their governance, risk management and internal control framework.

Typical users are functions within the first and second line of defence that are responsible for the execution, supervision, evaluation or follow-up of control activities.

This may include, for example:

- internal control management
- compliance functions
- risk management functions
- accounting functions
- control owners and other business functions with control responsibilities

Continuous Control Monitoring is not an Internal Audit solution. Organizations seeking to perform recurring audit activities should refer to the Continuous Auditing solution.

---

### **3. Accountability**

zapliance provides information. The customer evaluates and decides.

Continuous Control Monitoring provides data-driven indications and supporting information based on predefined control logic and analysis rules.

The evaluation of these indications remains the responsibility of the customer.

The customer is responsible for determining whether a result represents a relevant finding, risk, control deficiency, compliance issue or other business concern, and for deciding on any actions to be taken.

Continuous Control Monitoring supports human decision-making but does not replace professional judgement.

This chapter refers to Section VIII of the General Terms and Conditions.

---

### **4. Execution Model**

Continuous Control Monitoring is based on recurring execution cycles.

An execution cycle defines the recurring interval at which downloads, data processing and result generation may be automatically executed via batch run.

Typical execution cycles may be:

- daily
- weekly
- monthly

Continuous Control Monitoring transforms one-time analyses into a continuous, repeatable monitoring process.

The selected execution cycle determines how frequently new data is processed and new indications are identified.

The selected execution cycle is defined in the commercial agreement.

### **6. Core Concepts**

#### **6.1 Indicator**

An indicator represents a defined analysis logic used to identify relevant indications in business or compliance processes.

Indicators may be:

- zapliance Standard Indicators
- Custom-specific Indicators

Customer-specific Indicators are developed and delivered as part of a separate custom development project and may subsequently be assigned to licensed Indicator Slots.

#### **6.2 Indicator Slot**

An Indicator Slot represents one licensed capacity for the assignment and use of an Indicator within the agreed Solution.

An Indicator Slot may be assigned to:

- a zapliance Standard Indicator
- a previously developed and approved Customer-specific Indicator

The exact number of licensed Indicator Slots and the applicable execution cycle are defined in the Commercial Agreement.

#### **6.3 Indicator Set**

The Indicator Set represents the collection of Indicators currently assigned to the licensed Indicator Slots.

Example: A customer with 50 licensed Indicator Slots may operate an Indicator Set containing up to 50 Indicators per execution cycle.

The Indicator Set may contain:

- zapliance Standard Indicators
- previously developed and approved Customer-specific Indicators

#### **6.4 Control Instance**

A Control Instance represents the operational application of an Indicator within a defined business context. An Indicator becomes a Control Instance when it is configured for a specific organizational and monitoring context.

A Control Instance is defined by the combination of:

- Indicator
- company code or organizational unit
- control owner
- filters and business interpretation

A single Indicator may therefore be used as the basis for multiple Control Instances without changing the underlying code or analysis logic.

Indicators only become operational through Control Instances.

---

### **7. Indicator Set Changes**

Indicators included in the Indicator Set are not permanently fixed and may be replaced by other Indicators within the licensed Indicator Slots, subject to the terms defined in the commercial agreement.

The frequency and conditions of such Indicator Set changes are defined in the Commercial Agreement.

---

### **8. Subscription Coverage**

This chapter refers to Section VIII of the General Terms and Conditions.

#### **8.1 Monitoring Scope**

A CCM subscription entitles the customer to receive and operate a defined monitoring scope during the monitoring term.

The monitoring scope consists of:

- a defined number of Indicator Slots
- an agreed SAP scope
- an agreed execution cycle
- the agreed Agentic Team

#### **8.2 Included**

- execution of the Indicators assigned to the licensed Indicator Slots through the applicable Content Bundle according to the agreed execution cycle
- provision of recurring monitoring results
- the applicable Agentic Team and Platform configuration are defined through the selected Solution Bundle and the commercial agreement

#### **8.3 Not Included**

- development of new Indicators
- modification of the underlying logic of existing standard or custom Indicators
- ad-hoc or on-demand analyses outside defined cycles
- system integration beyond agreed scope

---

### **9. Commercial Models and Contract Parameters**

The following parameters are defined in the commercial agreement and determine the scope and operating model of the Continuous Control Monitoring subscription.

| **Parameter** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| **Product SKU** | Unique identifier of a product. |
| **Product Model** | Subscription or One-Off Fee. For Subscriptions, Sections II and VI of the General Terms and Conditions apply. One-Off Fee products do not constitute a subscription within the meaning of the General Terms and Conditions. |
| **Solution Bundle Voucher ID** | Identifier of the selected Solution Bundle configuration and determines the applicable solution variant. SB-WEWI-CCM-RECURR-360-EN refers to the standard recurring 360° solution variant in which all standard Indicators included in the bundle may be used within a processing run. SB-WEWI-CCM-RECURR-CUSTOM-X-EN refers to a configurable recurring solution variant in which the number of Indicator Slots is defined in the Commercial Agreement and may be allocated to approved Standard or Customer-specific Indicators. |
| **X = Indicator Slots** | Maximum number of approved indicators that may be included in a configurable Solution Bundle. |
| **SAP Company Codes** | Maximum number of SAP company codes that may be processed within the Solution. |
| **SAP Company Codes** | Maximum number of SAP company codes that may be processed within the Solution. |
| **Posting Positions** | Total number of BSEG entries across all agreed SAP company codes within one fiscal year. Where multiple fiscal years are included, the fiscal year with the highest number applies. Values from multiple fiscal years are not added together. |
| **Initial Data Load** | Historical data period included in the initial execution cycle. |
| **Recurring Processing Window** | Data period included in each recurring execution cycle. |
| **Processing Frequency** | Agreed frequency of recurring execution (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly). |
| **Voucher Service Period** | Recurring service period during which the Customer is entitled to use the applicable product. The Voucher Service Period corresponds to the billing frequency and renews for each subsequent billing period, subject to the Minimum Term and termination provisions. |
| **Renewal** | Automatic renewal of the applicable Voucher Service Period at the beginning of each subsequent billing period, subject to the Minimum Term and termination provisions. |
| **Minimum Term** | Minimum contractual term applicable to the product. |
| **Invoicing** | Invoicing schedule applicable to the product. |
| **Deviation from zapliance standard** | Any approved deviation from the applicable zapliance standard configuration. |
| **Product Description** | Applicable Product Description referenced by the product position. |

---

### **10. Result Presentation**

Continuous Control Monitoring results are provided through dedicated reporting and analysis interfaces.

Depending on the selected Agent Team, results may be provided through:

- Power BI dashboards for visualization, filtering and analysis of monitoring results.
- AI-supported interfaces, where included through the selected Wilma-based Agentic Team, for the exploration, explanation and prioritization of monitoring results.

The available result presentation options depend on the selected Agentic Team.
