Updating the SAP Web GUI URL in Power BI after Data Extraction

Step-by-step instructions for changing the SAP Web GUI URL in Power BI without reprocessing data

The SAP Web URL is stored in the SAP connection data in zapAnalytics before data processing. This allows direct access from Power BI to documents in SAP once the Power BI database has been created. If the SAP Web URL changes after data extraction, it can be updated in Power BI without having to reprocess the data.

Procedure to Change the SAP Web GUI URL

  1. Open your Power BI Dashboard.
  2. Click on "Transform Data".
  3. Select "V_Fact_Indicators" table, then select the "SAP Web URL" column. Right-click on any row and choose "Replace Values".
  4. Enter the new SAP Web URL to replace the existing one.
  5. Save changes.

After completing these steps, the SAP Web URL will be updated. You can now use the updated link for direct access to SAP documents from within Power BI.
