SAP transaction codes for inspecting change documents
Inspecting change documents in SAP is not always an easy task. Change documents record changes for several different business objects ranging from, e.g. purchase orders to customer master data and many others.
Here are three ways to display change documents:
- Check changes where they belong to
- SAP table view with transaction Code SE16
- SAP Transaction code RSSCD100
Check changes were they belong to
If you know what business object has been changed, then you can check changes while displaying the business object using the „Environment“. Example: A Purchase Order can be displayed with transaction code ME23N. Browse in the menu: more>Environment>Item Changes and all changes considering the items of the actual purchase order are displayed.
SAP table view with transaction Code SE16
If you have access rights to view tables in SAP, use transaction code SE16.
Relevant tables are CDHDR (Change document header) and CDPOS (Change document positions).
If you want to see the values that have been changed, use table CDPOS.
If you know the number of the change document itself, use the filter „CHANGENR“.
If you know the document number of the changed document/business object, use the filter „OBJECTID“.
SAP Transaction code RSSCD100
Use Transaction RSSCD100 to display change documents.
If you know the number of the change document itself, use the filter „Change document number“.
If you know the document number of the changed document/business object, use the filter „Object ID“.
