How to choose the right application scenario for zap Audit?

zap Audit is flexible to use. Choose between in-house and external data processing as well as different devices.

You’re now at the beginning of the following process:

Since it’s possible to execute each phase separately, you can use different hardware for data extraction (3), data processing (4) and the professional judgement (5). This could be useful, for example, if you:

  • Want to examine the data of subsidiaries in other countries
  • Want to examine your client’s data (e.g. if you are an accounting or consulting company)
  • Want to keep costs in check (e.g. use high-end hardware for the data processing phase only)

zap Audit automates complex data analysis procedures, which would normally take months if done manually. For this reason, zap Audit needs a lot of computing power for large data sets, especially during the data processing phase (3). zap Audit is scalable for many users. However, more parallel usage will require advanced hardware.

Furthermore, zapliance can be installed and run from an external hard drive or USB stick without admin privileges. All of these aspects make zap Audit very flexible to use but make it harder for you to choose the right implementation scenario. You should ask yourself:

  • Will the data be processed in-house or externally?
  • Are sufficient hardware resources available? (read guide)

In most cases, the answer is one of the following scenarios.

Scenarios for internal audit

zap Audit on your hardware (the most common scenario)

zap Audit as a Service

Scenarios for accounting and consulting companies

zap Audit @ Your client

zap Audit in your hardware
